First day in Scotland

We have just arrived in Edinburgh and it is freezing! Well...not really...though fatty Kirby is complaining heaps! Yesterday was all about the countryside. We first made a stop in Oxford - the university town - and it was splendid. Quite cool, but splendid. Many of us tried the McDonalds and might I say it was different...and peculiar. Later on we went to Stratford-Upon-Avon where we fell upin Shakespeare's Birthplace. It was a very interesting place with a lot to see. The house was quite old actually. After that we went to Anne Hathaways cottage. Caitlyn complained that the tour guide was talking as if SHE lived in the house at the time. After this we made our journey to Sherwood Forest Youth Hostel.

The following day, at 7 am, Professor Montgomery, Kate, Gemma, Mildred and I took a stroll in Sherwood Forest to see the Major Oak Tree. It was very nice. After this we had a proper breakfast back at the youth hostel and left forour long journey to Wallsend - The end, or beginning, of Hadrian's Wall. Didn't see much but rubble. Though it was quite hilarious when Mildred thought she was standing on the very wall itself...but was later disappointed that she stood on a mere replica of the wall, and then stood on the rubble. After this we left for Edinburgh. Mildred fell asleep and upon arrival to Edinburgh we heard a loud thud and saw that she fell off the back seat!

And here we are at the hostel, off to tour some more.
